The Iconic 3 story location (AKA the formal Chuck E. Cheese university) opened in 1981. The store is known for being the biggest CEC in the USA and is located in San Jose, California. The building itself was made in 1971 and was originally King Normans Toy store. But soon closed and became the now famous CEC. Because of it being so big and it being open for so long they gained the title as the first CEC even though that's false. The store is (for the most part) a Normal CEC but simply bigger. IT also has 2 displays outside featuring some décor and also has 2 stories hidden from the public. That being some of the 2nd floor and the entire 3rd floor. Overtime they kept many storage in the 3rd floor but over time they got rid of some of that storage. in storage they kept many things. They use to have many old and retro items dating back from when they opened. but slowly got rid of them for more space and so they can make extra cash. The store was also a CEC university of sorts. Many managers in training would go there and...Train! But soon that stopped and so did many other things, like their animatronic show. When they opened they had the iconic Balcony stage. They kept The stage until 2002 where they updated and got a Studio C. They kept the cyberamic Chuck and overtime upgraded him as a decoration of sorts out on one of the display windows. The other bots were sold to other collectors. The Studio C lasted up until 2019 where they got the infamous 2.0 update. removing the bot with nota dancefloor but much rather a flat screen TV. The Studio C chuck is currently up on the 3rd floor and as of 2021 the cyberamic is also gone being sold to a fan. When 2020 Hit the store volunteered to close based on city guidelines and sold some of their treasured items to make up for the cash as they lost. They lost over 600,000$ in one year alone during 2020. but thanks to the covid vaccine there seems to be high hopes.
The Iconic statue in the back made by Jeff Tritel was commissioned way back in 1977 as a mini bronze statue but for the Tully store was made bigger. The small version is owned by collector Kobun and is doing fine. as of 2021 the big statue is also safe and sound.
